Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a versatile General Services Officer to join Meadowbank Grove Care Community in Sydney. You’ll rotate between food service, housekeeping, and laundry, delivering compassionate support to residents and ensuring a welcoming environment.

This permanent role offers variety and opportunities to grow with the Opal HealthCare Academy. Training is provided; a positive attitude and reliability matter most.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or front-facing service is preferred but training is provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and professional manner.
• Willingness to learn across food service, cleaning and laundry.
• Basic safety and hygiene awareness is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Food Service: assist dining operations and serve meals with care.
• Housekeeping: keep resident rooms and common areas clean and welcoming.
• Laundry: manage residents' laundry with respect and dignity.
• Work as part of a supportive team to ensure a positive resident experience.
• Follow safety, sanitation and infection control protocols.
