Job summary

Cornerstone Medical Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking a qualified physiotherapist to join a residential aged care team on a short-term, part-time contract over the summer. The role offers two days per week, primarily Tuesday and Thursday, with some flexibility, and is ideal for someone early in aged care or transitioning.

You will assess residents, plan falls prevention, run group sessions, coordinate with nursing and allied health, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Qualified physiotherapist with current AHPRA registration.
• Around 1 year of aged care experience preferred, but not essential.
• Strong assessment skills and a practical, person-centred approach.
• Confident communicating with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Available for 2 days per week from 12 November to 17 January.

Responsibilities

• Completing aged care physiotherapy referrals and reviews
• Conducting mobility and functional assessments
• Developing and delivering falls prevention strategies
• Planning and running group exercise sessions for residents

About the role

We are looking for a physiotherapist to join our residential aged care team in Melbourne’s inner north for a short-term contract over the summer period. This is a great fit for someone wanting flexible, part-time work with a supportive team, whether you are early in your aged care career or already experienced in the sector.

You will help our residents stay mobile, independent and safe, with a hands-on, varied caseload.
