Job summary

CraigCare Ascot Waters, WA, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to support a safe and comfortable home for older Australians. The role is part-time (3 days a week) and based at Ascot Waters Home, working closely with the Home Manager to keep the facility running at its best.

No two days are the same: you may repair mobility equipment, paint rooms, coordinate contractors or drive our preventative maintenance program.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Or Police Check with NDIS acknowledgement email.
• Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Complete general maintenance including painting, patching, minor carpentry, plumbing and repairs.
• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain resident equipment, including beds and wheelchairs.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors.
• Support fire safety, accreditation and building compliance.
• Maintain workshops, plant rooms and accurate maintenance records.
• Work closely with the Home Manager and wider CraigCare team to continually improve our home.
