Job summary

Collar Care is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Officer to join an established aged care facility in Young, NSW. This permanent full-time role offers 76 hours per fortnight with a flexible roster and a starting rate of $35.00 per hour plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, handyman work, gardening or groundskeeping.
• Practical skills across general repairs and property maintenance.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a strong focus on safety.
• A caring and respectful attitude when working in an aged care environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and routine upkeep across the facility.
• Undertake basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and building maintenance tasks.
• Maintain outdoor areas and gardens, including mowing, hedging, sweeping, hosing and general groundskeeping.
• Help ensure the facility remains safe, clean, presentable and comfortable for residents, visitors and staff.
• Identify maintenance issues and assist with timely repairs and preventative maintenance.
