Job summary

Hepburn House Daylesford Aged Care Services is seeking a laundry services provider to support our 106-bed aged care facility in Daylesford. The role focuses on linen handling, laundering duties, infection control compliance and respectful interaction with residents and staff.

Responsibilities include labeling clothing, safe handling of soiled linen, stock management, and participating in the infection control program. Flexibility for casual or permanent shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection control principles.
• Ability to deliver high quality domestic services.
• Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Label and manage residents’ clothing and laundry items.
• Transport soiled linen safely per infection control rules.
• Launder linen and residents’ clothing per policies.
• Store and rotate clean linen properly.
• Participate in Infection Control Program.
• Document Laundry Cleaning Schedule and lost items.
• Order chemicals and equipment after consultation with the Facility Manager.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate respectfully with residents.
