Job summary

Eldercare Cottage Grove is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to join our warm, not-for-profit aged care team on permanent part-time basis. This hands-on role supports kitchen, dining and cleaning tasks, delivering nutritious meals and a caring, respectful service to residents.

You'll bring a cheerful attitude, good communication, flexibility to cover shifts, and a genuine desire to care for others. National Police Check and vaccination compliance apply.

Qualifications

• Some aged care or health care experience (a plus, but not a dealbreaker!)
• A cheerful, can-do attitude and great communication skills
• Pride in your presentation and your work
• Flexibility to help cover shifts when teammates need support or backfilling
• A genuine desire to care for others

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation & serving of nutritious home-style foods and beverages based on site menus/resident care plans, dishwashing and kitchen cleaning
• Cleaning across resident rooms, communal spaces, kitchens, and laundries
• Every shift is an opportunity to make someone’s day better; with a warm meal, or a caring conversation.
