Job summary

BlueCare's Home Services Officer at Kirra Haven Aged Care Facility in Coolangatta offers a part-time role delivering dining, cleaning and laundry services in a warm, person-centred environment that supports residents' comfort, dignity and wellbeing. You will be organized, engage with residents, assist with meal service, maintain hygiene and safety, and help daily operations.

Shifts may start as early as 6am and finish as late as 8pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, cleaning or food services.
• Ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to hygiene and safety standards.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn food safety and cleaning practices.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Confidence to comply with probity checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Set up and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas and assist during mealtimes.
• Perform cleaning and laundry duties and care for resident rooms and linen.
• Engage with residents in a warm and respectful manner.
• Deliver a high standard of hygiene and safety across tasks.
• Support the team with daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
