Job summary

BlueCare, part of the UnitingCare Queensland family, is hiring a Home Services Officer for the Gympie Aged Care Facility. You will support dining, cleaning, and laundry services in a person-centred environment, ensuring meals, hygiene, and safety standards are met daily.

Join our onsite hospitality team to deliver high-quality care, build meaningful relationships with residents, and contribute to a warm, welcoming setting that fosters dignity and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hospitality, cleaning, food services or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn food safety, infection control and cleaning practices.
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring meals are delivered safely and meet dietary requirements.
• Set up and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas and support residents during mealtimes.
• Perform cleaning and laundry duties, including maintaining resident rooms and shared areas and caring for clothing and linen.
• Engage with residents in a warm and respectful manner, creating a positive experience.
• Deliver a high standard of hygiene and safety across all tasks.
• Support the team with daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
