Job summary

Calvary is hiring a Support Worker – Cleaning at our Wendouree, VIC home to provide a safe, clean living environment for residents and a well-supported staff workplace.

You will perform routine cleaning, operate equipment, maintain supplies, and follow infection control and OH&S requirements. Experience in aged care is desirable, and commitment to teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, damp dusting, window cleaning.
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
• Experience in Aged Care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routine and project cleaning tasks according to established cleaning schedules.
• Operate mechanical cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaning machines and steam cleaners.
• Ensures supplies of clean linen and laundry skip bags are stocked.
• Document completion of scheduled tasks as required.
