ActronAir is a proud Australian company designing and building air-conditioning technology. We seek a Production Manager (Afternoon Shift) to lead our Sheet Metal, Assembly, and Controls plants, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will coach teams, monitor production programs, and collaborate with Planning to meet build requirements. The role requires leadership experience in manufacturing, knowledge of Sheet Metal/Assembly processes, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a leadership role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal and Assembly processes.
• Formal mechanical qualifications; HVAC exposure advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365) is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Sheet Metal and Assembly Plant operations.
• Ensure WHS and Quality Systems compliance across the factory.
• Coordinate shift production with daily/weekly plans for efficiency.
• Support Production Planning to meet build requirements.
• Coach and mentor direct reports; develop training initiatives.
• Conduct daily shift handovers and delegate tasks effectively.
