Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a hands-on Production Team Lead for our Melbourne manufacturing site to own the day-to-day shift performance, driving safety, quality and throughput while coaching a frontline team.

You will report to the Production Manager, plan labour across filling and packing lines, monitor productivity, and work with other Team Leaders to keep the shift running to plan.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading a production, packing or manufacturing team.
• Hands-on frontline leadership style with visibility on the floor.
• Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP and manufacturing quality standards.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities across filling and packaging.
• Ensure batches start on time and production stays aligned with the plan.
• Allocate labour and delegate tasks across the shift.
• Drive a safety-first culture and lead by example.
• Maintain GMP, quality, cleanliness and housekeeping requirements.
• Monitor productivity and manage labour and overtime.
• Lead toolbox talks, team huddles and shift handovers.
• Manage rostering and day-to-day shift administration.
• Coach and develop team members while maintaining accountability for performance.
• Collaborate with other Team Leaders to provide shift coverage when required.
