Job summary

Recyclable Packaging is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for the Afternoon Shift to join our Seaford, VIC operations team. This full-time role involves running and monitoring specialised machinery essential to our production processes, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency standards.

You will operate and maintain production equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and support a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing allowed; training provided.
Ability to read production specifications and instructions.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Reliable and punctual for afternoon shifts.
Able to work well in a team and follow safety protocols.
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production machinery during the afternoon shift.
Perform routine maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
Monitor output and quality, report defects promptly.
Set up machinery for production runs per job specs and work instructions.
Record production data and machine performance accurately.
Follow health, safety and environmental protocols at all times.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation of the line.
Respond to alarms or malfunctions and escalate as needed.
Assist with cleaning and housekeeping tasks in the production area.
