Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is seeking an After Hours Nurse Manager for Canterbury Hospital on a casual basis. The role oversees nursing leadership, clinical services, and resource coordination after hours to ensure safe patient care.

You will work with the executive team on strategic direction, staffing, and workforce reporting across Canterbury Hospital, ensuring alignment with NSW Health policies and mandatory vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Recent management experience with staff and services leadership, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experience.
• Demonstrated well developed leadership skills and highly developed communication skills including the ability to manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Canterbury Hospital's delivery of safe, evidence-based clinical services after hours.
• Provide leadership, support, strategic direction and operational management to Canterbury Hospital.
• Oversee workforce matters such as staffing, workforce reporting and management across Canterbury Hospital.

The After Hours Nurse Manager is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of safe, efficient, effective and evidence based clinical services within the available resources, consistent with organisational, NSW Health legislative and policy frameworks and values. The role is responsible for workforce matters such as staffing, workforce reporting and management across Canterbury Hospital.
