Job summary

Aboriginal Hostels Limited is seeking a hands-on hostel manager in Mackay Regional, Queensland. You will work closely with a small hostel team to provide three meals a day and ensure the facility remains clean, safe and welcoming.

The role involves leading and developing staff, reporting to the Operations Management Team and the National Office, and covering shifts from 7am to 7pm while ensuring meals are prepared according to set menus.

Qualifications

• Experience managing hostel or hospitality operations.
• Ability to lead a small team and develop staff.
• Experience preparing and serving meals to menus and standards.

Responsibilities

• You will be a hands-on manager reporting to the Operations Management Team.
• Provide regular reports on hostel operations to the Operations Management Team and to AHL’s National Office.
• Shifts generally cover 7am–7pm and you will be required to provide coverage.
• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with AHL’s set menus.
