Job summary

Tecside Group is seeking an Electronics Technician for Sydney. In this in‑office role, you will work on flight electronics, harnesses and lab readiness to support AIT activities.

You’ll repair, test and bring up boards, while collaborating with designers to ensure manufacturability under strict ESD and cleanroom conditions. You will perform instrumented tests, document results, and help maintain lab discipline.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or diploma in electronics is required.
• 3+ years hands-on experience building, testing or maintaining electronic hardware in high‑reliability fields.
• Proven soldering and rework on fine‑pitch SMD and through‑hole assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Rework, repair and modify electronic assemblies to flight standard.
• Manufacture, test flight and EGSE wiring harnesses.
• Own electronics lab: tooling, consumables, calibration status, ESD control, bench discipline.
• Run subsystem and unit level test campaigns and capture data with traceability.
• Bring‑up prototype boards and fault‑finding with design team.
• Assist in flight hardware integration under controlled conditions and support environmental tests.
• Write and red‑line procedures and build records; raise nonconformances.
• Provide feedback on manufacturability and testability early in the design process.
