Job summary

The clinic in Mackay is seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our growing allied health team. You’ll work across a diverse caseload and have autonomy while being supported by experienced clinicians.

ESSA accreditation, strong skills in exercise prescription and assessment, and commitment to high‑quality patient care are essential. The role offers professional development and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Current ESSA accreditation as Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP).
• Experience delivering exercise interventions to clients with chronic diseases, musculoskeletal conditions, mental health conditions or other health challenges.
• Proficiency in conducting fitness assessments and interpreting physiological test results.
• Excellent communication skills to educate, motivate and build rapport with diverse client populations.
• Strong clinical reasoning and attention to detail in documentation.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Preferred: experience in multidisciplinary healthcare teams or allied health clinics.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse range of clients across chronic disease, musculoskeletal conditions, disability, mental health and general health and wellbeing.
• Develop clinical skills across a varied caseload and build genuine relationships with clients.
• Operate autonomously with the ability to collaborate within a supportive team where clinical decisions and professional development are encouraged.
