Job summary

Virtusa is seeking an experienced AEM Developer to design and implement robust web experiences. You will work on templates, components, dialogs, and workflows, leveraging MSM, i18n, HTL Sightly, and Sling Models within AEM 6.5.

Strong backend skills in Java/JEE, OO design patterns, and testing (JUnit) are essential, along with building responsive UI from UX designs and maintaining CI/CD processes (Jenkins/Hudson). You will document requirements and contribute to solution design.

Qualifications

• AEM experience including Templates, components, dialogs, widgets, workflows, OSGi bundles, MSM, i18n and HTL (Sightly).
• Proficiency with backend technologies: SOAP/REST, SQL/NoSQL, ESB and microservices.
• HTML/CSS created from UX designs and UI polish for responsive layouts.

Responsibilities

• Fix UI look and feel and align UI code for responsive design.
• Build customer components using Core Components and Sightly.
• Leverage AEM 6.5 features: Editable Templates, Sling Models, Experience and Content Fragments.
• Work with Java/JEE, OO design patterns and testing (JUnit).
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (Jenkins/Hudson).
• Identify and document functional/technical requirements and non-functional requirements.

• Experience in creating AEM Templates, Components, dialogs, widgets, workflows, OSGI bundles, Internationalization, Multisite Manager (MSM), HTL Sightly, Sling Models.
• Experience with one or more back end/server-side technologies including: SOAP/REST, SQL/NoSQL databases, ESB, and Microservices
• HTML, CSS Creation from the UX designs provided
• Fix UI look and feel issues.
• Aligning the UI code for Responsive Design
• Experience in building customer components , using Core Components, Sightly
• Good experience with AEM 6.5 -Editable Templates, Sling Models, Experience and Content Fragments.
• Experience building cutting edge web & responsive mobile experiences
• Good knowledge in Java/JEE skills and OOPS with proficiency design patterns
• Experience with Junit and other testing frameworks in AEM
• Understanding of build and deploy process using CI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, Hudson, etc).
• Identifying and documenting functional and technical requirements.
• Identifying the NFRs and recommending overall solution design
• Familiar with UML diagrams (Usecase, Class, Sequence, Activity, Deployment).
