Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our Maintenance Team in Central Queensland. This opportunity allows you to progress in your career while overseeing HSE aspects of various projects.

Qualifications

Our Maintenance Team in Central Queensland is expanding. We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team. This position presents a great opportunity to progress in your career while playing a key role in our operational support team.

The Role
  • Oversee and manage HSE aspects across shutdown works
  • Support risk identification and ensure activities are reduced to ALARP (As Low as Reasonably Practicable)
  • Lead incident investigations and communicate findings to project teams
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate HSE standards, programs, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Civmec’s Corporate Compliance Matrix
  • Monitor and apply regulatory updates to project systems
  • Assist in hazard investigations and ensure corrective actions address root causes
About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Cert IV in WHS
  • ICAM or Taproot certification (Preferred)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar HSE role
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Proven incident investigation capability (ICAM, Taproot)
