Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority – Melbourne VIC is seeking an Advisor, Engineering to provide technical support across planning, procurement and delivery phases of major health capital projects. You will work with hospitals and stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions meet Australian Standards and best practice.

VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.

The Opportunity

Join VIDA Health's Engineering Unit and help deliver critical health infrastructure projects across Victoria. As the Advisor, Engineering, you'll provide technical engineering support throughout the planning, procurement and delivery phases of major health capital projects, working closely with hospitals and stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions align with Australian Standards, industry best practice and emerging trends. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and collaborative professional with strong project management skills who is passionate about improving health infrastructure and building a rewarding career in engineering.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Support stakeholders with practical engineering advice that aligns with relevant standards, guidelines and procurement processes.
• Monitor and deliver projects in accordance with applicable legislation, government standards and best-practice guidelines.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships across the department and broader sector, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, preparing communications and meeting materials, and facilitating meetings, actions and follow-up outcomes.

We are looking for:

• Demonstrated ability to assess risks, solve problems and provide practical, outcome-focused recommendations.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate and deliver projects, engage stakeholders, and proactively manage risks to achieve project objectives.
• Highly organised and self-aware, with the ability to prioritise effectively, think critically and deliver results in complex environments.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or a related discipline, with relevant industry experience; exposure across multiple building services disciplines will be highly regarded.
