Job summary

Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp, operated by YMCA Victoria, is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead and supervise camp programs, staff and volunteers. The role focuses on delivering outdoor education experiences to groups and ensuring learning outcomes are achieved with strong risk management.

The position is permanent, full-time, located at Falls Creek, offering a hands-on leadership role with opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to program development within the YMCA framework.

Qualifications

• Mandatory First Aid & CPR certification and a current driver’s licence are required.
• Strong outdoor education background with leadership experience in program delivery.
• Ability to supervise staff, volunteers and placement students while delivering programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise camp programs and staff to ensure safe, high‑quality delivery.
• Coordinate camp activities and liaise with visiting groups to meet learning outcomes.
• Deliver programming directly to schools and community groups while managing risk.
