Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking an Advanced Trainee in Clinical Toxicology for Emergency Medicine on a temporary full‑time or part‑time 12‑month appointment from February 2027. The role sits in the Department of Clinical Toxicology, providing inpatient care for poisoned and envenomed patients under supervision of specialist staff.

Applicants must have MBBS, be registered or eligible with the Medical Board of Australia, and have 3 years postgraduate hospital experience with 1 year in internal

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Currently participating in or completed an advanced training programme.
• Minimum 3 years postgraduate hospital experience and 1 year in internal medicine, emergency medicine or intensive care.
• Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and under high demand.

Responsibilities
