Nepean Hospital is seeking an Advanced Trainee in Clinical Genetics. The role supports paediatric, prenatal, adult and specialty outpatient genetics clinics with exposure to multidisciplinary teams and inpatient consultations.

The position offers immersive training in genetics principles, testing, counselling, and ethics, with opportunities to participate in research and teaching junior staff. Applicants should meet the essential requirements and have relevant registration or eligibility.

Formación

• MBBS or equivalent and registered or eligible to register with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Eligible to be registered with RACP as an Advanced Trainee in Clinical Genetics; prefer 3–6 months experience in a relevant subspecialty.
• Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in the last 2 years.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical genetics services across paediatric, prenatal, adult and specialty outpatient clinics.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and inpatient consultations.
• Engage with NSW Clinical Genetics inter-campus educational programs.
• Contribute to teaching junior staff and learners.
• Explore opportunities for clinical research where available.
