Job summary

Scottsdale High School is seeking an Advanced Skills Teacher to implement and manage learning programs for students and to assess progress. The role supports the Principal in educational leadership and administration of a school sector.

The position is fixed-term, part-time, commencing February 1, 2027, and offers pathways to grow your career within the Tasmanian Public Sector’s Teaching Service framework.

Qualifications

• A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
• Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, 2005.
• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
• Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005.

Responsibilities

• To implement and manage appropriate learning programs for students and to assess individual student progress.
• To assist the Principal in the general educational leadership, management and administration of a particular sector of a school or college.
