Job summary

Gold Coast Health is seeking a Pharmacist - Advanced (Specialist Medicine) to provide strategic direction and clinical leadership in pharmacy services across Specialist Medicine units at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.

You will lead clinical pharmacy services, contribute to governance and quality initiatives, and collaborate on research and QUM projects to improve medication safety and patient outcomes across facilities in the region.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree and registration required.
• APHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) registration essential.
• Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B where applicable.
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategic planning of and advocacy for pharmacy services
• Provide clinical pharmacy services to a specialised clinical unit within Specialist Medicines
• Lead and participate in clinical research and Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) projects
• Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals
• Lead and participate in governance processes aimed at improving medication safety
