Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified Advanced Peer Worker for the Crisis Support Space within the Lived Experience Team at Birtinya, QLD. The role focuses on connecting with consumers and staff to promote recovery through lived experience and psycho-education.

This frontline support role provides essential support enabling the development and delivery of frontline services, programs and outcomes.

We're excited to welcome an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander – Identified, Advanced Peer Worker - Crisis Support Space to our Lived Experience Team.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Serve as a positive role model to consumers and staff and as a source of information on their personal experience of managing their mental health.
• Connect to consumers, carers and staff providing a positive example of recovery and as a source of information on their personal experience of managing their mental health.
• Support and mentor the AO3 Peer Workers.
• Utilising experience, skills and knowledge in consumer education, support and provide a responsive framework of psycho education that meets the needs of consumers.
• Utilising group work skills in delivering support groups, psycho education programs, and participate in facilitating peer-based consumer support groups.

Remuneration value up to $102,7955 p.a., comprising salary between $48.69 - $53.54 p/h employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
