Together we can harness the power of analytics and technology to identify solutions for our customers and communities to help build a brighter future and really make a difference.

See yourself in our team:

Business Bank (BB) supports the financial health of individuals, businesses, and communities, especially CBA’s small and medium enterprise clients, including those in rural areas, as well as online trading and broking customers.

The BB Advanced Analytics & Data (BB AAD) team uses data and analytics to identify our customers’ needs and safely deliver insight, contact journeys and innovative solutions to improve their financial wellbeing.

Do work that matters:

As part of the AAD Customer Analytics & Engagement team, you will deliver competitive advantage by identifying events at every touch point in which a customer, prospect or intermediary interacts with CBA, and work with internal and external business partners to define and deliver engaging and relevant responses to those events by leveraging new and existing data.

You should be passionate about a customer’s digital experience and the opportunity to build trust and customer advocacy through data-driven insights.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:
  • Working collaboratively in cross-functional Scrum teams with Marketing, Product, Analytics and Business Segment colleagues, you will be responsible for leveraging the Group’s data assets to provide insights, design multi-channel customer journeys and develop always-on campaigns that transform customer engagement by delivering tailored customer communications – the right message to the right customer, at the right time, via the right channel.
  • You will deliver quality analytics in a fast-paced, agile environment where you will build customer journeys in the form of Next Best Conversation customer decisioning & other digital channels.
  • You will collaborate on analytical projects that help drive the strategic objectives of the business and develop and maintain ongoing capabilities, such as self-service dashboards, to help monitor and manage our products.
  • You will synthesise qualitative and quantitative data and facts from various sources to identify relationships and patterns.
  • Critically, you will be at the heart of pioneering a new way of how the Business Bank interacts with customers by identifying innovative and unique ways to leverage CBA’s data and deliver new competitive value propositions for our customers.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
  • Previous experience in data analytics or modeling (e.g. actuary, pricing, or credit risk).
  • Ability to understand complex problems and take a structured approach using data driven insights to solve them.
  • Comfortable with coding, experience in Python or R preferred.
  • Extensive experience in using data driven analytics to develop insights and recommendations.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to pick up new concepts or skills.
  • Sound communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree in relevant discipline (qualification in Actuarial studies, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Maths, or Sciences preferred).

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
