Job summary

The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne invites applications for two part-time fixed-term psychologist roles in the Department of Adolescent Medicine Eating Disorders. The positions run from 30 November 2026 to March 2027 (0.2 FTE) at Parkville, Melbourne.

You will provide evidence-based clinical care to adolescents with restrictive eating disorders and conduct assessments within outpatient and inpatient clinics.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Master or Doctoral program in clinical or health psychology recognized by the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Holds general registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
• Maintains Psychology Board CPD standards.
• Adheres to PsyBA Code of Ethics.
• Endorsed or progressing toward endorsement (Clinical/Health).
• Demonstrated child/adolescent mental health practice.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based clinical care to adolescents with restrictive eating disorders.
• Conduct psychological and family assessments and interventions between outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Maintain clinical documentation and record client contacts/outcomes.
• Collaborate with other clinical disciplines and external services.
• Support junior staff and psychology interns with supervision and guidance.
