Job summary

Deakin University in Victoria is seeking an organised professional to provide administrative and operational support to the Doctor of Medicine program across regional locations. You will work with academic and professional staff to support teaching, assessment and simulated learning activities.

The role requires face-to-face on-campus attendance during teaching periods, and occasional travel to Waurn Ponds.

  • Part-time 0.6 FTE (22.05 hours per week across 3 days) and continuing
  • HEW 5 $86,744 - $97,290 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to provide administrative and operational support to the Doctor of Medicine program across Deakin’s regional locations. Working with academic and professional staff, you will support the delivery of teaching, assessment and simulated learning activities.

As part of Faculty Services, Medicine, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate program activities, support stakeholders across multiple sites and provide administrative and technical support for simulated learning as required.

This role requires face-to-face on-campus attendance during teaching periods, and occasional travel to Waurn Ponds will also be required.

In This Role, You Will

About You

We're looking for an organised, proactive and collaborative professional who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively and provide high-quality administrative support in a dynamic environment.

You Will Bring
  • A degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or a diploma with relevant experience; or a post-trades certificate/advanced certificate with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience providing advice or support services.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to interpret and apply procedures, with sound judgement and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within service standards.
  • The ability to analyse information and contribute to process and service improvements.
