Job description

The Mersey Community Hospital forms an integral part of Hospitals North West, providing high level health care to the Tasmanian community. The Integrated Operations Centre forms a vital part of the day to day management of all aspects of the hospital.

The Role:

  • Provide high-level administrative support within the IOC by undertaking a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
  • In consultation with the Nursing Director of Integrated Operations, coordinate the sourcing and allocation of daily staffing requirements for clinical departments and services as delegated.
  • Work collaboratively with Nurse Unit Managers to coordinate staffing resources for clinical areas to cover leave and hard-to-fill roster gaps (planned and unplanned) and assist the Nurse Unit Manager with maintaining timely updates of Proact to reflect roster/allocator changes.

You will need:

  • Provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical support for the Nursing Director Integrated Operations, MCH IOC and Nurse Unit Manager group (staffing and recruitment)
  • Assist in the prioritisation of IOC workload, including recognising and investigating issues as they arise and proactively contributing to solutions.
  • Exercise reasonable care in the performance of duties consistent with the relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and for providing labour in an efficient and safe manner.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.

The salary range is $73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
