Job summary

About the Opportunity

The Townsville Hospital and Health Service is committed to growing and supporting our First Nations Health workforce and the Administration Traineeship program provides trainees with full time employment, whilst completing a certificate III in Business Administration.

The Administration Officer trainees are supported to reach their full potential through meaningful, on-the-job training combined with localised education and culturally safe mentoring and support towards achieving each milestone.

Trainees work as a valued member of the administrative team; you will contribute to the delivery of quality administrative services while developing the skills and experience needed to build a rewarding career within the health sector.

To allow the panel to confirm that you are eligible to be considered for this Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (Identified) role, the panel will seek your response to the following questions: Who is your mob? Where is your country? How do you contribute to your community?

Competitive salary and benefits
  • Salary range: $65,719 to $76,653 p.a. (AO2)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements

Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to work with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
