About The Role

Provide and maintain a highly responsive and effective administrative support and customer service function to the 24 hour Emergency Department Reception. Contribute to patient flow by performing a support role to nursing and medical staff in the department.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Team Focus Is able to work cooperatively and effectively within a team environment getting along with others
  • Quality Focus Delivers work of high quality, validity and accuracy of services.
  • Continuous Learning Implements and plans ways to improve their skills across all skills sets, identifying gaps and seeking appropriate interventions and input from others
  • Technical Knowledge
    • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of basic medical terminology to extract and interpret pertinent information from patient medical records and hospital information systems
    • Proficiency in the application of internal hospital information systems in addition to Microsoft Word and Excel
Mandatory Requirements

  • This position is required to work as part of a 24 hour/ 7 day a week roster.
  • This position is required to work public holidays and therefore an entitlement of 6 weeks annual leave will be provided.
  • This position may be required to work across the various facilities throughout the West Moreton Health.
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
