The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components is looking for a capable and motivated Administration Assistant to join the team based in Novar Gardens. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions, and services through key brands such as Fielders and Lysaght.

Working onsite five days a week (8am-4pm, with some flexibility around start and finish times), you’ll be the friendly, professional face of the site, while also keeping everything behind the scenes running smoothly. This is a full-time permanent role with great people, real variety, and the kind of autonomy that lets you take ownership and grow.

You’ll manage daily administrative tasks, support projects and initiatives, and assist leaders and teams across the business. Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will provide dedicated administrative support as one of your key responsibilities, gaining invaluable exposure to various teams and initiatives.

What Will You Do

Your day-to-day will be dynamic, people-focused and impact-driven. As the sole administrator onsite, you’ll be at the heart of our site, supporting team members and helping to nurture a positive, safe, and welcoming workplace culture. You’ll also:

  • be the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and team members, delivering a professional and positive front desk experience
  • provide general administration support including document preparation, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, and record keeping
  • develop a solid understanding of site operations and processes to confidently triage queries and connect people with the right teams or information
  • maintain accurate records and systems (both digital and hardcopy) with a proactive approach to data management
  • ensure safety is considered in all aspects of your work, from document handling to site coordination
  • support internal communications, project admin and business improvement initiatives as needed
