Queensland Agricultural Seeds (QAS) is seeking a motivated full-time Administration and Export Support Clerk that can work autonomously to join our team. This role will provide day-to-day support to existing staff across both office administration and export operations.

Queensland Agricultural Seeds is an agricultural seed merchant, serving both domestic and international markets, and operating its own seed coating facility. With diversity in our operations, this position offers the opportunity to gain experience across multiple areas of the agricultural seed industry.

Must be an Australian citizen.

Minimum 6–12 months administration experience (essential).

Strong attention to detail with the ability to think ahead and problem-solve.

Agricultural or export experience is highly regarded but not essential, full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Administration Duties:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail; prepare and process banking.
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries, direct to the appropriate staff, and monitor shared inboxes.
  • Provide sales and procurement support.
  • Assist with accounts payable/receivable and end-of-month procedures.
  • Stock control stocktakes and reconciliation.
  • General administration: filing, records management, invoicing, reception, and data entry.
  • Arrange transport pick-ups and deliveries as required.
  • Other general office duties as needed.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
  • Experience with Reckon preferred.

Export Duties:

  • Prepare and manage export documentation, ensuring customs compliance.
  • Coordinate shipping arrangements, freight logistics, and international correspondence.
  • Oversee stock allocation, collation, labelling, and distribution.
  • Organise transit insurance certificates and respond to customer export enquiries.
  • After full training in the Export Documentation Software (EXDOC) you will be required to:
    • Raise Requests for Permit (RFP).
    • Liaise with the Department of Agriculture to obtain phytosanitary certificates.
