Job summary

DroneShield is seeking an ADF Commercial Lead to drive Australian Defence Force go-to-market activity, engaging with Defence, CASG and prime contractors. You will work with the tendering team and internal stakeholders to convert opportunities into funded programs.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the role is based in Canberra, Adelaide or Sydney with day-to-day sales execution and strategic account management across Defence customers.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial, sales or capture experience within Defence or government procurement.
• Proven track record of commercial sales into the Australian Defence Force.
• Experience with ASDEFCON frameworks and Defence procurement processes.
• Ability to lead day-to-day sales activity and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Own the Australian Defence Force commercial account strategy and day-to-day sales activity.
• Lead Defence procurement execution for relevant opportunities and respond to tenders.
• Apply ASDEFCON knowledge to support compliant, commercially sound tender responses.
• Identify and progress opportunities to sell directly into Defence or via Australian primes.
• Develop and maintain a stakeholder and opportunity map for priority Defence programs.
