Smart AVR Pty Ltd in Toowoomba is seeking an experienced Mobile Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join our team. You will diagnose and resolve complex issues using advanced diagnostic tools and report findings clearly to customers.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of diagnostic or advanced technician experience, strong problem-solving skills, and good communication. You’ll work with the latest equipment and contribute to workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive diagnostic or advanced technician role.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability, especially with complex/intermittent faults.
• Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and electronic vehicle systems.
• Confident in using diagnostic scan tools, software, and test equipment.
• High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and pride in your work.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools, supporting both the efficiency and reputation of our workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed diagnostics and inspections across a wide range of vehicle makes and models
• Utilise advanced diagnostic equipment and software to identify and troubleshoot faults
• Carry out repairs and component replacements to manufacturer standards
• Prepare clear and accurate reports on all work completed
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers in a professional and easy-to-understand manner
• Maintain a high level of workmanship, safety, and attention to detail
• Keep up-to-date with evolving automotive systems, diagnostic techniques, and emerging technologies
