Job summary

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) invites applications for Physiotherapist vacancies within the Acute Physiotherapy team. Roles involve high-level assessments, interventions, discharge planning, and collaboration with senior staff to enhance physiotherapy services across work areas.

The positions are multi-classed as AHP1 or AHP2 with shifts in casual or contract arrangements. Eligible applicants will hold registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and have acute care

Qualifications

• Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
• Clinical experience working in an acute health care setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to relate to diverse ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level physiotherapy assessment for allocated work areas and discharge planning.
• Develop and implement high-level intervention and management plans including rehabilitation and mobility aids.
• Document assessments and management plans accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with Senior Physiotherapist to develop the role of physiotherapy within the work area.
• Monitor workloads and clinical outcomes with the supervisor; contribute to service planning and quality improvements.
• Manage allocated caseload and support discharge arrangements with patients and carers.
