Job summary

SA Health in Wallaroo is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager - Acute to provide clinical and operational leadership across an acute care service within the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN). The role will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, person- and family-centred care, support staff development, and drive quality improvement and change across outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current or eligible registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current or eligible practicing certificate.
• At least 3 years’ post-registration nursing and/or midwifery experience.
• Demonstrated management and leadership experience, including staff supervision and development.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and delivering person and family-centred care.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and contribute to quality improvement.
• Experience supervising students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and/or midwives.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and other relevant computer systems.
