Job summary

Acumen Health is seeking a commercially minded Manager to lead regional service delivery across a designated Defence region, supporting our Defence and rehabilitation contracts.

You will build high-performing teams, strengthen Defence stakeholder relationships, and ensure outcomes align with KPIs, safety and quality standards.

This role offers ongoing leadership development, workforce planning and the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of Defence personnel and veterans.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health discipline with current professional registration.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within occupational rehabilitation or injury management.
• Strong operational leadership and people management capabilities with excellent communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, commercial outcomes, or financial performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional service delivery operations to meet contractual KPIs, service standards and compliance.
• Promote clinical governance, safety and continuous quality improvement, meeting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with Defence representatives and act as escalation point for complex issues.
• Lead, coach and develop teams; support workforce planning, recruitment, retention and capability development.
• Manage regional P&L performance, revenue, margin and EBITDA outcomes balancing quality and commercial goals.
• Represent Acumen Health at customer meetings, contract reviews and industry forums.

We're seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manager to lead both on and off base service delivery across a designated military region, supporting our Defence and rehabilitation contracts.

The opportunity

You’ll lead regional operations, build high-performing teams and strengthen Defence stakeholder relationships. Achieve sustainable outcomes for our military members.

• Lead, manage and report on regional service delivery operations to ensure contractual KPIs, service standards, and compliance requirements are achieved.

• Promote a strong culture of clinical governance, safety, and continuous quality improvement, ensuring relevant standards and regulatory requirements are met.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with ADF representatives (ie Commanding Officers, Health Centre Managers, Regional Rehab Managers). Act as the escalation point for complex customer or stakeholder issues.

• Lead, coach, and develop teams to achieve operational and strategic goals. Support workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and capability development initiatives. Foster a culture that promotes employee wellbeing, engagement, professional development, and workplace safety.

• Manage regional P&L performance, revenue, margin, and EBITDA outcomes ensuring commercial outcomes balance service quality outcomes.

• Represent Acumen Health at customer meetings, contract reviews, and industry forums.

About You

You are a strategic and influential leader who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and enjoys building capable, engaged teams.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, or another relevant Allied Health discipline with current professional registration
• Minimum 5 years' experience within occupational rehabilitation, injury management or similar
• Strong operational leadership and people management experience, with exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated success managing customers with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for Defence personnel and veterans.
• Experience managing budgets, commercial outcomes, or financial performance metrics.
