A local government council in South Australia is seeking an Acting Senior Information Management Officer to manage the Council's corporate memory and oversee information management projects. The role requires an Accredited Freedom of Information Officer with proven experience in records management systems and strong organizational skills. This is a 12-month position covering parental leave, offering flexible working arrangements and benefits.

Adelaide Plains Council is the fastest growing Council area in South Australia with Two Wells at the epicentre of that growth. Located just 30 minutes north of Adelaide, Council is undergoing rapid transformation in the form or residential, commercial, retail, industry and horticulture investment with further expansion of these sectors firmly on the radar of the State Government's Draft Greater Adelaide Regional Plan.
Covering a 12 month period of parental leave and commencing early December 2025, the Acting Senior Information Management Officer will report directly to the Manager Customer Experience and will be a hard-working, highly organised professional who instigates and maintains effective relationships and has great attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be an Accredited Freedom of Information Officer, will be highly attentive and proactive, and possess highly developed communication, organisational and time management skills in order to effectively prioritise daily tasks.
Proven knowledge and experience in records management systems and the administration of an EDRMS is essential, with a demonstrated ability to interpret legislation to ensure compliance with the State Records Act 1997 and General Disposal Schedules in order to provide advice to various stakeholders of Council.
A current/valid Australian driver's licence (class C) is required to work across various sites (rotating between our offices based in Two Wells and Mallala) will be essential.
