St Nicholas of Myra Primary School, Penrith, NSW, is seeking an experienced Acting Principal for 2027. You will provide spiritual, educational and operational leadership to the school community, building on strengths and sustaining momentum in strategic priorities.

The role focuses on Catholic identity, student learning and wellbeing, leading a high-performing leadership team, using data to drive improvement, and strengthening partnerships with families and parish.

• Demonstrates a deep understanding of Catholic identity and builds a Christ-centred school culture.
• Leads an evidence-informed improvement agenda focused on student learning and wellbeing.
• Builds high-performing leadership teams and professional learning communities.
• Champions evidence-informed decision-making using data to guide priorities and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual, educational and operational leadership across the school.
• Strengthen Catholic identity and nurture the school’s mission and core values.
• Lead a coherent improvement agenda focused on student learning, growth and wellbeing.
• Develop a high-performing leadership team and build staff capability through coaching and collaboration.
• Use data to evaluate impact and guide priorities, strengthening teaching and assessment practices.
• Foster a safe, inclusive school culture where students, staff and families feel known and connected.
• Manage staffing, finances, facilities and resources to support school priorities.
• Build partnerships with families, the parish and wider community.
• Maintain continuity and momentum in priorities throughout the acting appointment.
