Job summary

Respond Rehabilitation and Health in Newcastle is recruiting an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) for a flexible part-time position with a clear pathway to full-time as the caseload grows. The role delivers individualized exercise rehabilitation in community and clinic settings, with Medicare-funded consultations, and requires collaboration with GPs, psychologists and other clinicians.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.
• Motivated, reliable and comfortable working independently.
• Interest in occupational rehabilitation, aged care, mental health and chronic disease management.
• Experience in occupational rehabilitation is desirable, although applicants looking to develop their skills in this area are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Delivering individualised exercise rehabilitation in community and gym settings.
• Providing Medicare-funded Exercise Physiology consultations from a dedicated clinic room.
• Managing a varied caseload across aged care, Medicare, Workers Compensation and NDIS.
• Collaborating with GPs, psychologists, rehabilitation consultants and other healthcare professionals.
• Conducting assessments, monitoring outcomes and preparing clinical reports.
