Job summary

Belgravia Leisure's Somerville Recreation Centre is seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologist on a part-time basis to deliver evidence-based exercise interventions for diverse populations. You will work with an established member base and contribute to program development within a supportive national AEP team.

The role offers flexible hours with full-time consideration for the right candidate and requires eligibility as an AEP with ESSA.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia.
• Experience across chronic disease, injury and surgical rehabilitation.
• Ability to work with a range of clientele from clinical to healthy populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exercise interventions and education for clients at risk of chronic conditions or injuries.
• Deliver clinical exercise prescription for clients with chronic or complex conditions.
• Promote health education and wellbeing within the venue and community.
• Develop and promote Exercise Physiology services locally and with the wider Belgravia network.
• Facilitate group rehabilitation classes.
• Coordinate with other medical professionals involved in client rehabilitation.

The Role

Come join a wonderful, engaging team environment at Somerville Recreation Centre.

We are currently seeking an Accredited Part-time Exercise Physiologist to join our local teams, whilst at the same time being supported by a national AEP team. We have a strong established membership base, and you will ideally work across a range of Chronic Disease, NDIS, injury and surgical rehabilitation and healthy population clientele.

We support a patient centred outcome-based approach to clinical management, and the successful applicant will assess and deliver customised exercise interventions to our members that will assist in the management of their injury or condition. Our AEP teams establish great local stakeholder relationships and referral pathways to support the progress and outcomes of our clients.

Option for full time for the right candidate.

Successful applicant must have or be eligible as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia

Key Accountabilities:

• Provision of exercise intervention and education for those at risk of developing a chronic condition or injury.
• Provision of clinical exercise prescription, for those with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries.
• Provision of health education, advice and support to enhance health and wellbeing.
• Development and promotion of Exercise Physiology within the venue and wider community.
• Facilitate group orientated rehabilitation classes.
• Liaise with other medical professionals involved in patient's rehabilitation.
