Job summary

Royal Rehab Group, through FNQ Health & Fitness, is seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologist for a maternity backfill role. You will deliver tailored 1-on-1 and group exercise programs, assess and plan interventions, and work within a multidisciplinary team to support diverse client needs.

You will be joining a passionate team focused on evidenced-based care, lifestyle medicine, and rehabilitation, enabling clients to achieve their health goals in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Exercise Physiology required.
• Accreditation with ESSA required.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in clinic or rehabilitation settings is desirable.
• Experience with neurological conditions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify rehab and disability support needs for clients.
• Develop individualized intervention and therapy plans.
• Deliver high-quality clinical services including assessment and planning.
• Support client goal setting and outcomes.
• Collaborate withPhysiotherapists and other health professionals.
• Coordinate referrals to internal and external providers.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.

About The Role…

An Accredited Exercise Physiologist working within a passionate team of Exercise Physiologists, Exercise Scientists, Pilates Instructors and Personal Trainers. We deliver in clinic tailored exercise programming in a 1on1 setting or clinical group exercise class. We also run various Pilates and fitness based classes from our gym or Pilates studio spaces.

In this casual - Maternity Leave Backfill role, you will provide high quality Exercise Physiologist interventions and therapy support to our clients at FNQ Health & Fitness. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating these interventions within a client-focused and goal-centred framework.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Identification of rehab and disability support for clients
• Develop indvidualised client interventions, therapy support plans and treatment
• Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence-based practice
• Identify and support client goal setting
• Collaboration with Physiotherapist’s and other Allied Health professionals as required
• Referrals to internal and external providers
• Participate in ongoing professional development and staying up to date with latest research and treatment techniques

Your dedicated to enriching the lives of our customers and provide information, advice and support about exercise to help them manage diverse conditions.

Essential Criteria

• A degree in Exercise Physiology
• Accreditation with Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
• Ability to work independently as a sole clinician and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Previous experience working within clinic or rehabilitation environment desirable
• Previous experience working with neurological disorders is desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Strong commitment and professionalism to customer centred care
• Experience building long lasting patient relationships
• Highly motivated and a positive attitude
