About the role
Reporting to the Manager Financial Accounting, The Finance Officer Accounts Receivable is responsible for ensuring financial processes, related to the administration of student debtors are fulfilled according to TAFE Gippsland standards and established processes. Working in our highly functional and experienced Finance team, this role involves liaising with debtors and managing appropriate actions regarding outstanding debts. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include raising invoices, importing banking files, processing EFTPOS transactions, management of accounts receivable correspondence and providing advice and support to TAFE Gippsland staffing regarding finance matters relevant to debtors.
This is a parental leave role, and contract dates are subject to change, dependent on the incumbents chosen return to work date.
About you
You have a demonstrated knowledge in financial literacy with the ability to understand and apply finance and accounting related policies, procedures and compliance requirements. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to build and maintain mutually beneficial stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organisation. You have a strong degree of computer literacy and can confidently work with databases and spreadsheets. You possess a strong attention to detail and can quickly learn new concepts and systems. You have demonstrated high level organisation and planning capability, with the ability to manage a diverse range of tasks simultaneously whilst ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
