Job summary

Harvey Norman in Stapylton (Gold Coast) invites applications for a permanent full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk. This on-site role involves processing credit card transactions, reconciling funds, debtor statements, and supporting the Finance and Sales teams within our ERP and in-house systems.

The successful candidate will have solid double-entry knowledge or prior AR experience, strong numerical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process and refund credit card transactions.
• Reconcile incoming funds and allocate customer payments.
• Handle debt collections via phone and email.
• Prepare monthly debtor statements.
• Maintain up-to-date debtor profiles.
• Manage trade credit insurance reporting, claims and renewals.
• Respond to customer enquiries promptly and investigate issues.
• Meet reporting deadlines for Accounts Receivable.
• Report debt collection status to Financial Controller or Proprietor.
• Support Finance and Sales teams.

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk based in Stapylton, Gold Coast. This is a pivotal role in the Finance Team which offers excellent career development and progression opportunities. This position requires working 100% onsite and you will be trained to use our Microsoft Dynamics ERP and in-house customised systems.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Processing and refunding credit card transactions
• Reconciling incoming funds and ensuring correct allocation of customer payments
• Debt collections (via phone and email)
• Processing monthly debtor statements
• Ensuring debtors’ profile are up to date
• Managing trade credit insurance reporting, claims and renewals
• Responding to and investigating customer enquiries in a timely manner
• Managing reporting deadlines for the Accounts Receivable functions
• Reporting to the Financial Controller and/or Proprietor on debt collection status and risks exposure
• Supporting the Finance and Sales teams

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:

• Prior working experience in similar role (Candidates without prior working experience will be considered if you have solid double entries knowledge)
