Cairns Airport Pty Ltd is seeking a casual Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team. The role offers 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule, supporting accurate processing of vendor invoices and expense claims for North Queensland Airports (NQA).

You will manage invoice workflows in Technology One, assist with payments, reconciliations, and daily cash forecasts, and provide general finance support.

Formación

• Experience in accounts payable is desirable.
• Strong IT literacy and ability to navigate ERP systems.
• Experience with Technology One or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Process vendor invoices and manage workflow in Technology One.
• Facilitate payment of vendor invoices following terms.
• Respond to queries regarding vendor accounts.
• Maintain vendor data and accounts payable ledger.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and payment journals.
• Contribute to cashflow management with daily cash forecasts.
• Provide general administrative support to Finance Team.
• Support improvements of financial systems and processes, especially Technology One workflow.

We’re currently seeking a casual Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team. This role offers 20 hours per week with a flexible work schedule, providing an excellent opportunity for someone looking to balance professional and personal commitments while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Role Highlights

The key purpose of this role is to manage the accurate and timely processing and payment of vendor invoices and expense claims for North Queensland Airports (NQA).

Key Responsibilties

• Process vendor invoices, including oversight of invoice workflow through NQA’s Technology One system and correct GST handling,
• Support users of the Technology One system across the business,
• Facilitate the payment of vendor invoices for Cairns and Mackay Airports and associated entities in line with agreed terms and deadlines,
• Respond to internal and external queries regarding vendor accounts,
• Maintain and manage the vendor data and accounts payable ledger in Technology One,
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and preparation of payment journals,
• Contribute to cashflow management, including the preparation of daily cash forecasts,
• Provide general administrative and financial support to the Finance Team as needed,
• Support continuous improvement of financial systems and processes, particularly with Technology One workflow.

About You

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is desirable
• Confident navigating financial systems and strong IT literacy
• Experience with Technology One (TechOne) or other large ERP systems and procurement workflows will be highly regarded.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Confident in problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation
• Excellent time management, task prioritisation, and organisational skills
• A strong commitment to teamwork and customer service
