Job summary

IOR, a premier Australian fuel supplier, is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-performing team and oversee end-to-end AP operations. The role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement, with responsibility for vendor relations and financial integrity.

You will drive the purchase order function, manage high-volume invoicing across multiple currencies, ensure GST compliance, and schedule timely payments.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping preferred.
• Experience in accounts payable including supervisory role.
• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (Business Central, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail with collaboration and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the purchase order function of the business.
• Process high‑volume, multi‑currency invoices (up to 1,100 per week) and payments across 6,000 vendors and complex chart of accounts across ERP databases.
• Check fuel volumes, prices and GST compliance are accurate.
• Schedule EFT/BPAY/FX supplier payments on time, maintaining agreed terms.
• Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and uphold fraud prevention and internal controls.
• Manage supplier relationships, disputes, new supplier setups and compliance, and drive continuous improvement with OCR tools.
