Corporate Carbon Group is seeking an Accounts Officer (Accounts Payable) to manage end-to-end AP across multiple entities using Derive, Xero and AI-enabled tools. You will ensure accurate coding, timely approvals, and robust supplier onboarding and verification.

We value attention to detail, adaptability with new technology, and knowledge of GST/BAS. The role offers hybrid Sydney CBD work arrangements and opportunities to improve AP processes with AI tools.

Competenze

• At least two years' experience in accounts payable or similar role.
• Advanced Xero skills and strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
• Close attention to detail and the judgement to check AI-generated work before relying on it.
• A working understanding of GST, BAS and valid tax invoices.

Own accounts payable for a group of carbon, agricultural and technology businesses, from invoice receipt to payment. You will work in a modern AP set-up built on AI tools, including Derive (AP system), Xero and Eftsure, using automation and AI tools to take on the manual load, so your time goes into accuracy, controls and helping the business get it right.

Corporate Carbon Group is an Australian carbon project developer and advisory business. We originate, develop and manage projects that generate Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) across vegetation, savanna fire management and agricultural methods, and we hold an Australian Financial Services Licence for our carbon trading and advisory activities. The group includes Corporate Carbon Advisory, Paniri Agricultural Co. and Maki Planet Systems.

The role

You will need

• At least two years' experience in accounts payable or a similar accounts role.
• Comfort with embracing new technology and change, including new systems and AI tools.Advanced Xero skills and strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
• Close attention to detail, and the judgement to check automated or AI-generated work before relying on it.
• A working understanding of GST, BAS and valid tax invoices.

• Australian citizenship or the right to work in Australia.

It would help if you have

• Experience with an AP automation platform such as Derive (AP system), Dext or ApprovalMax.
• Experience working across multiple entities, including inter-company transactions.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude or Copilot in your day-to-day work.
• Qualifications in accounting or finance desirable.
