The Role:

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team at NTC Wismettac Australia. Reporting to the Accounting team leader, this role plays a key part in supporting the company’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial data, and assisting with internal reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable: match invoices with purchase orders, enter bills, prepare payment runs, and follow up on outstanding issues with suppliers.
  • Manage accounts receivable: allocate customer payments, monitor aging reports, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
  • Support inventory costing and reconciliation where required.
  • Liaise with internal departments (sales, logistics, procurement) to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Support the finance team with other administrative and accounting tasks as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Over 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, or similar systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., Japanese, Mandarin) are preferred but not required.
