Job summary

Continence Health Australia is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team on a hybrid arrangement in Surrey Hills, VIC. You will manage payables/receivables, maintain records in Xero, and support month-end activities, audits and payroll tasks.

The role requires around 3 years in AP/AR/bookkeeping, solid Xero experience, and qualifications in Finance or Bookkeeping. Not-for-profit experience and a customer-focused approach are valued.

Qualifications

  • Around 3 years' experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and bookkeeping.
  • Experience processing high volumes of transactions and completing reconciliations.
  • Experience in payroll administration or payroll knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector is preferred.
  • Experience in a membership-based organisation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and debtor follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero and complete reconciliations.
  • Support month-end reporting, audits and finance administration activities.
  • Provide payroll administration support as required.
  • Deliver responsive and professional support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working across a variety of accounting and administrative tasks and wants to contribute to an organisation making a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians.

Reporting to the General Manager Finance, you'll play an important role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation and ensuring accurate, timely and efficient financial processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments and debtor follow-up.
